When the Gradt family, practising Catholics from Nuewied GER (Prussia, at the time) arrived in the Hudson Valley region of New Amsterdam, the policy was largely antipathy towards Catholics. They joined he Reformed Church and largely stuck with it.

My antipathy towards the administration is matched only by the endless scorn I hold its voters in.

It’s impolitic to blame voters, but given that I am not in politics nor likely to ever be, there’s no compulsion in me to coddle voters.

I can, and will, loudly mock them as they deserve.
