Makes me wonder who this antipathy serves. While people attack immigrants, who’s looking at corruption? Who’s looking at World Bank/IMF austerity and privatizing policies that funnel the nation’s wealth away from the people to multinational corporations?

I still haven’t heard any Americans (plural) taking credit for Messi, Americans are not taking credit for an Argentine soccer player’s success. Nobody who actually follows soccer thinks the MLS is all that, but I do understand the Canadian antipathy…the president has that effect on all of us
