This beach is scattered with debris after the windy weather. Some natural, a lot of plastic, sadly. I must be the only person here wishing they had brought a cordless hot glue gun to the beach, so I could stick the whole lot together to make a mythical sea beast.

Whimsymaxxing has a specific look. Mostly it seems to involve affixing plastic gems, charms and shiny stickers to everyday objects.
Whimsy is a kind of profligacy, a revolt against efficiency. Landfills swell and oceans choke with the detritus of re-enchantment.
