Looking at Israel's role in convincing the US that it would be awesome to attack Iran, parleying that into an invasion of Lebanon, and how the US got fed up with its bullshit and seems to have abandoned its interests in the Iran deal, I kinda can't help but think of Austria-Hungary going into WWI.
