Hard not to feel sorry for Roberts and his dyspeptic Catholic justices. They've been hard at work trying to figure out how to avoid punishing Trump for his unilateral and unconstitutional tariff policy. But they've survived other seemingly impossible tasks before and prospered.

In a political career of gaffe-laden, embarrassing, incoherent proclamations, Trump's speech at Davos was a new low in terms of sheer incomprehensibility, and barely functioned as speech. It sounded like an endless slurred collection of arbitrary phonemes, emitted from a dyspeptic, concussed panda.
