I finished reading @benaaronovitch.bsky.social 'Stone &Sky'. Another brilliant combination of murder mystery, thriller and gentle, sometimes sardonic humour. The twins have become my favourite characters followed by the talking foxes.

I struggle with this. Who would play Carloman? Paul Giamatti has the features, but not the personality. Too sardonic. Stick a chest-length beard on an older Ralph Richardson and we're looking good. He was the wizard Ulrich in Dragonslayer (1982) and the Supreme Being in Time Bandits (1981).
