Letting the elders make dinner is a dangerous proposition. Salt, for example. Everything must always have more salt. There’s enough salt in the meatballs to desiccate and mummify a corpse. A sacrifice to make these people happy.

We’ve been leaving my bedroom door closed with the humidifier running to help with my cough but now @gdposta.bsky.social is calling it “the moist chamber” so I might just let myself desiccate into a mummy instead
