Send me good vibes for tomorrow. My little girl is getting a very big surgery. I’m feeling all the feels! Excitement, relief, ambivalence, worry, etc. when my husband got bypass surgery a few years ago I light grieved his smooth scar less chest. Though an alive husband is better than no scar.

If I'm being honest, I'm deeply skeptical of people who say they're thoroughly proud to be an American.

I'm also deeply skeptical of people who say they're thoroughly ashamed to be an American.

The only honest response is ambivalence. American has done some truly great and truly horrible things.
